HW reported on the ACCOUNTS UP TO 30TH June 2005. The net surplus of £7.5k includes the purchase of the lap top computer.

 

b.

JA proposed various methods of refund to race clubs and to family groups. After discussion it was agreed to propose at the AGM a one off reduction in race fees in the summer 2006 season to £8 per racer.

Insurance of equipment: Given depreciation, JA proposed to investigate “Self Insurance” as a way of reducing the premium.

Barclays bank:  Three signatures: Of the Treasurer Hilary Whipp, Piet Van Kempen (Bass), and Steve Lambert (HEM) to be ERSA signatories for next 12 months.

SSE inter regional at Pendle: PVK to take charge of a volunteer squad. Sweatshirts to be provided and help with petrol to parents + PVK.

Proposed Tri Regions competition: ERSA as first organizers. Selection criteria initially agreed to be ERSA top seeded racers, if no response to open for volunteers. Team racing format to be same style as ERSA Champs super seven.

JA to secure perpetual trophy. Sweatshirts to be provided free. ERSA to pay their

Portion of slope charge. Total approx budget £1k.

SUMMER LEAGUE

 

a.

Half way through the season. With Thomas Paxton moving back to Scotland Bernie Wright to take over running of Rainbow software. Chairman gave vote of thanks to Thomas for all his hard work put into ERSA and the Hemel club. ERSA wish him and the family well at their new home.

Discussion took place on the possibility of finishing the main racing before holding the rainbow racing – not agreed on basis of keeping the rainbow inclusive of the meeting.

Discussion on Bass. “Clear Gel” requirements for next meeting.

Trophies to be returned by Bass meeting 10th July.

Sue Ferguson reports by e-mail that to date there are 35 attendees including head coach and club trainers from 4 of the regions clubs: Hemel, Xcape, Bass, BWP.

The Risk Assessment was complete and satisfactory. A copy was handed over to JA.

Agreed to purchase 20 of low level brush markers for training on the snow. Open to be used by other regions clubs and Snow Club on replacement basis. ERSA

Apologies to SC on snow drill problems from last year. Problem now solved.

JA reviewed latest news. Sport minister Caborne spoke in public support of SNOASIS project. LSERSA committee to be addressed by SNOASIS chairman.

Hemel to close at end 2006 season FOR 14-18 MONTHS. ERSA CN/GP race to be last possible in June.

No suitable method yet for placing poles on John Nike surfaces. Swadlincote lost.
